Hepworth Band continues to inspire the next generation

Hepworth Band recently teamed up with friends at HD9 Youth Brass to help inspire the generation of young brass players and percussionists.

The bands latest youth brass event, supported by the Hinchliffe Mill Brass Band Music Charity, brought over 20 young players together for a workshop and rehearsal with mentors from Hepworth, followed by a special massed bands Mother’s Day Gala Concert at The Civic, Holmfirth.

Hepworth Band Manager Yovonne Embury said “A big thank you to our friends at HD9 Youth Brass, you were all just fantastic. Thank you to the Hinchliffe Mill Band Music Charity for supporting the event, to The Civic, Holmfirth for looking after everyone, and to all our super cake bakers! And a really big thank you to everyone who came along to support us, we hope you had a lovely afternoon.”

Paul Kirk from HD9 Community Brass said “A massive thanks to Hepworth band for being so inviting and encouraging with us, you’ve no doubt inspired a number of us and shown what is possible in the brass band world.
